Maurice Wilkins
Biophysicist who showed Rosalind Franklin's Photo 51 to James Watson without permission.
He was a New Zealand-born British biophysicist (1916–2004) who worked at King's College London, studying the structure of DNA by X-ray diffraction.
He received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1962 together with James Watson and Francis Crick for their contributions to determining the structure of DNA.
The video recounts that Wilkins took the Photo 51 obtained by Rosalind Franklin and, behind her back, showed it to James Watson, who with that confidential data built the double helix model together with Crick. It notes that the Nobel Prize he received was part of that glory built on data Franklin never knew had been stolen from her.
